Guitar players- what kind of picks do you use?
I use Jazz 3 picks, because they're shorter and my fingers are thin lol. They're nice and thick to, but still somewhat flexible (the red ones).
Anyone who's pickin-n-grinnin could answer this Q ;)
Yeah, I like bass when its plucked with the fingers... the tone is more true to the instrument IMO. Just like Steve Harris does it ;) woo hoo! lol
Sometimes I pick and pluck simultaneously, good times lol

Dunlop Deldrin 1.5mms, 2.0 mms or Fender mediums, depending on the guitar. I use the 1.5s with .009 strings, the 2.0s with .010s. When I perform long sets I will keep some Tortex blends in my pocket so that when my hands get sweaty I can switch. Tortex seems to stay in my hand a lot better, although I prefer the classic Deldrin material.
When recording lines on nylon string guitars, I like to use a felt pick to clean them up a bit without making an obvious pick sound.

I like Jim Dunlop Tortex they last a while.
for electric I used the Green(.88) and Yellow(.73)
for Acoustic I like the thinner ones - Orange(.60) or Red(.50)
Been thinking about trying a pack of Ultex too

I don't. I use my fingers. When I play bass, I use my thumb or fingers, when I play guitar, I developed an unusual way of picking with my index finger and thumb nail. I was never able to hold a pick. I hate them. I think I get a better sound like that, warmer, more natural, less "clacky".

I use Fender and Jim Dunlop. I use the Extra-heavies or the Heavies. I get a better sound with the heavier picks than if I use a thinner pick.

I use a medium weight nylon pick, but also do a lot of picking with my 3rd, 4th and 5th fingers. Whatever works for you is great. I find with my technique I get a lot of variety of sound, and can do things I can't do any other way.

I use the white soft ones and use the rounded corner instead of the point with my electric. I use my fingers a lot with my acoustic and electric bass..

I recently switched to dunlops 2.00 mm
I used to play with picks of 1.5 mm.
And I still have one of that red "flexible" ones.
Kisses.

I use any pick I hate the thin bendy ones and I love the thick harder ones.
