Puppies? Puppies? Puppies? Puppies?
How'd you train/teach a brand new puppy to be obediant [to be specific, a little white pomeranian pup]. How would you teach it to listen and as it gets older, listen and be good?? And how'd you refrain it to not learn how to bark?? [or bite??].
OH. And it's white. Yeahh. What would you name it??

jasamine would be the name,.. when the dog is listening to you reward her, with a treat or a pat on the head. when the dog is "being good" also reward her. You must reinforce positive behavior so that the pup will know what you like/request/demand from it.

Congratulations on your new puppy! To teach the puppy to obey commands you must be consistent. Always use the same phrase or word and always speak in the same tone of voice. Speak in your normal voice. Do not yell. Yelling frightens the puppy and will not teach him/her a thing. You may think that it does, because just as an example say the puppy has done something that he/she isn't supposed to do and you become frustrated with Puppy and you yell "No". The puppy will move away from you and you may think that you have taught him/her something and this won't happen again. Well, you would be half right. You have taught the puppy something by yelling at her/him and that is to be afraid of you because the puppy won't understand why you're yelling. Please speak in a normal voice or a soft voice when you speak to the puppy. In order to teach the puppy the command "No" first decided what the puppy can do and what the puppy isn't supposed to do. Some of this is obvious to you and your family. Some may not be if you have children such as you don't want the puppy on the furniture because it (the furniture) will get dirty and it will get dog hair. After you establish with your family what is O.K. for the puppy to do and what is not O.K., then everyone should use the same word or words to teach the puppy. Puppys learn by repetition. Just keep at it and pretty soon you will have a nice well behaved puppy. Also, please do not hit the puppy--even with a rolled up newspaper. People say that if you do this the puppy or the dog will not associate it with you but this is not true. The puppy can see who is holding that newspaper. If you want to discipline the puppy you should not hit or yell. I had a puppy that I crate trained and when she would not obey me after many times, then I would put her in her crate for what is called a "time out." I would not put her in the crate and then put her in a room by herself--she would have felt abandoned. Instead I put the crate in the room with me and I sat and talked to her until she calmed down and then I immediately let her out. You may try this. As to teaching the puppy not to bite, and not to bark-- puppys bark--this is normal but to teach her to stop barking, just speak in your normal voice and tell her "No" or "Be quite" or "Hush" or something like that. As far as teacher her not to bite, first be sure that the person is not teasing the dog. Biting is one of the ways that dogs and puppys have of defending themselves. If the person had not teased the puppy, just speak in your normal voice to the puppy and tell him/her "No" or "The postman is our friend" or something along these lines. This will take awhile, but dogs are smart. Keep at it as I said earlier and pretty soon you will have a well-mannered puppy.
I almost missed the last part of your question. Since the puppy is white some names might be
Snowball
Frosty (male)
Also you should make a list of names that you like and names that suit the puppy. Take a few days and watch the puppy and you will notice the puppy's personality and you may want to make a name from a characteristic that he/she has. For instance, I had a mixed breed terrier. The name she had when I first got her was totally inappropriate. I made a list of names that I liked and I watched the puppy and I noticed that she walked like a lady and held her
head just like a lady and so my new puppy became Lady.

The best method for training a young Pomeranian pup is positive reinforcement. Especially when the pup is so young, try to ignore any mistakes unless you catch your pup in the act. Anything that your pup does on his own (that is a behavior you like) praise and pet the pup lavishly. If your pup bites you too hard during play, make a high pitched yelp and say "OUCH!" or any other word to startle the puppy temporarily and let him know that he is being too rough. This type of training is called bite inhibition. Your pup should have learned the basics of this through his mom and littermates, and you have to extend that "training" to his new human pack. As far as barking, Pomeranians love to do it!!!!! Often, barking will be less of a problem if there are no other dogs in the house. If this Pomeranian is your only dog, you may only hear him bark when strangers come by your house, or when he meets a new dog, etc. Nuissance barking occurs most often when a dog or dogs are kept away from their human families, such as with "outside dogs". Pomeranians are NOT outside dogs!! In fact, all dogs would prefer to live inside with their human packs. Giving your pup plenty of attention and excercise will keep the barking at bay. Allow him to follow you around the house, and become part of your daily activities. This will help to strengthen the bond between you, and your pup will enjoy learning from you, too. For basic obedience, keep lessons short (5-10 minutes at a time) so your puppy does not get bored. Keep training fun and upbeat, like a game. As far as potty training goes, you should definetely use a crate. This will help him understand where he may go to the bathroom, since a puppy will not want to soil his crate. Be sure the crate is large enough for the puppy when full grown. He should be able to stand, turn around, and lie down stretched out flat on his side. You do NOT want the crate too big, as this will give the puppy enough room to sleep in one end of the crate and eliminate in the other. In the beginning, just let the pup sniff around and explore the crate. If he goes in on his own......PRAISE! Once he goes in a couple of times, try shutting the door. If he starts to whine, wait for him to stop before opening the door so he doesn't learn that making a fuss gets him out of the crate. Eventually, move out of sight for a few seconds. Gradually increase the time the pup is in the crate until he learns that you will come back for him. At night the pup should sleep in the crate (in your bedroom) so that if he needs to potty during the night, you will hear him whine. Try not to let the puppy EVER soil his crate. This will just make training take longer. Hope this information helps...........If you need more specifics, just post another question!! Good luck, and have fun with your new furry baby!!

The best time for training is right now..as you would with a child teach it right from wrong praise it when its good and no praise when its bad ..treats are a good way to praise as well as good boy/girl with a pat. dogs arent dumb they thrive for attention and knowing they are makeing you happy makes them happy..if they are doing something you dislike as with biting or barking dont give them attention say no and ignore them once it stops praise them. Make sure to leash train him or her as well starting off young is the best time as you walk stop every now and then and give the command heal make your puppy sit beside you and praise him when he does what you ask of him. Same when your at home the sit command should be taught by giveing the command and helping them understand it by running your hand down their back and pressing on their hind end until they sit and ofcourse praise them after its done.
As for a name thats something you should deside by either going by their personality or looks you can also look at baby names for help they also have many sites for pet names.
Some puppies dont learn as fast as others its going to take time and patience but if done correctly they should grow up to be a great pet. good luck! and congrats on your new puppy.

CONSISTENCY...CONSISTENCY...PERSISTANTS...PERSISTANTS. Connecting w/that dog and spending alot of time w/her will make the training process that much easier. If the pup trusts you the response of that dog will go smoothly. Dont ask when giving a command...tell the command but dont yell the command. The tone in your voice has quit an effect on animals. Make sure your commands are short and decisive to other commands. Be patient but not a push over either. Name her Ghost...LOL

DON'T teach it much when it's still a puppy. There little brain can't handle all of it. When it's a puppy you should only teach it sit, come, no, and fetch if you want to. Wait till it is a year or older to teach it shake, roll over, or whatever. I think you should name it pogo, Pompey, blanko (means white in Spanish), poochie, summit, kiki, Lilli, and/or ...tingy!

I think if it was a boy I would name it Max and if it was a girl I would name her Lucy. To be good and stuff like that I would try to train the dog myself by giving dog treats whenever the dog does the thing right.

Snowflake. I'd call your local Kennel club and take it to puppy preschool. It's a lot of fun and you learn SOOO much from the teachers. And you get to see other peoples puppies!

I'd name it Ioexa. (I-ex-uh)
And I'd go to puppy training classes with it in order to learn how to train it properly.
