    Good old Dubya.

President Bush actually said "They misunderestimated me" in Bentonville, Ark Nov 6, 2000.

He was also quoted as saying -

"This issue doesn't seem to resignate with the people." (Portland, Ore., Oct. 31, 2000)

    "I will have a foreign-handed foreign policy." (Redwood, Calif., Sept. 27, 2000)

"This case has had full analyzation and has been looked at a lot. I understand the emotionality of death penalty cases." (June 23, 2000)

"I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family." (Greater Nashua, N.H., Chamber of Commerce, Jan. 27, 2000)

"It's clearly a budget. It's got a lot of numbers in it." (Reuters, May 5, 2000)

"Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?" (Florence, S.C., Jan. 11, 2000)

"I think if you know what you believe, it makes it a lot easier to answer questions. I can't answer your question." (Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Oct. 4, 2000)

    and my all time favorite...

"And so, in my State of the... my State of the Union... or state... my speech to the nation, whatever you want to call it, speech to the nation... I asked Americans to give 4,000 years... 4,000 hours over the next... the rest of your life... of service to America. That's what I asked... 4,000 hours." (Bridgeport, Conn., April 9, 2002)

The shrub - George W. Bush Jr. - the adorable, funny, perhaps mildly retarded president of the United States. It was on a televised speech. I don't remember the exact date or anything. He was trying to say misunderstand but probably didn't want to be underestimated either.

It is now a fairly common Bushism. Like when you combine 2 words or use a made-up word or shorten a phrase and people still understand you. Like the other day I said "There is no fear but fear itself" and then I said, "Oh I totally pulled a G-Bush there, I mean there is nothing to fear but fear itself."
