If you had to save the life of a human being or an animal at the same time, which would you save and why?

Animal would be either a dog or cat!

    Kind of a silly question.

I would save a human before an animal.

And I think any sane person should do the same.

Let me get this straight, I love just about all animals and have a dog and cat myself. Love them to death.

But human lives are more important than animals.

That is the way GOD set it up.

I would save the human, duh...even if the human was a real jerk or something, you would still have to explain why you didn't save him/her to their family if you saved the animal.

A dead animal is a sad thing too, but not as sad as a dead human.

humans, because they can provide significant contributions to society... it sucks for the dog or cat, but that human being is someone's father/brother/mother/sister, and no human life should be lost because of trying to save a dependent/non-speaking/non-contributing member of society animal instead.

I would first try to save the human and then grab the cat and try.

Why? Even though I love animals, our first responsibility is to our fellow human beings.

depends. if it was my dog versus bin laden, i'd save my dog. but generally, i would save the human because they would have a family that would grieve over death in a much different way than an animal ever could

ALWAYS a human being...they are MUCH more important than a pet/animal. Common sense!

Human. Don't care what the animal is or who owns it.
