whether children below 15 years of age would stop working after 10 th October 2006?

I am 29 now and I started working when I was 12, I babysat other people's kids. I am Canadian. That's illegal now, you have to be at least 14 or 15 I believe. What I am trying to say is that some people are more mature at a younger age. If the work conditions for children are good and it is necessary for them to work and they are willing, I don't see why they can't. It is when children are FORCED to work that it becomes a problem. I don't think children under the age of 12 or 13 should work, but that's just my opinion. If it's against the law and you have to fire these workers, knowing you are making their lives difficult, well that would be quite awful wouldn't it? You need to decide whether or not you want to break the law and what is REALLY best for the kids...

I don't think so. I think that the earlier position was the better one ie: children should not be employed in hazardous jobs. Now the government is taking away their livelihood and like every other projects they will abandon children half way. Here we are talking about India! Personally I believe that children need be allowed to work, except in hazardous jobs. At the least they will be able to feed for themselves !
