How far do you have to drive a Geo Tracker (or any car) to "reset" the computer for emission tests?

Update:

We've driven it 200 miles and the guy at the Emissions place says it is still not reset.

You only need to drive your car for roughly 15-20 and the computer well have already reset itself.

Are you talking about trynig to get a car inspected? I know in NJ, if you fail an emissions test, it's 45 days before you can go back and their equipment has "forgotten" what problems you had at the last inspection.

If you mean the computer in the car, you need to disconnect your battery for about 10-15 minutes.
