2005 Dodge Dakota?

Any one having trouble with the shimmy on the 2005 Dodge Dakota with 4.7 lt engine and 3.55 rear end. Goodyear Wranger SR/T 245/70R16.

    one of my customers did,,i own a repair shop,,and i drove the truck,,i think its in the tires,,and so does the dealer,,and they have ordered him a new set of tires,to see if that stops it,,they called me and asked me what i thought,and i said the tires may be bad,,and after there mechanic checked it he agreed,,so now were playing the waiting game with them on the tires,,hopefully it will take care of it,,you might want to check with your dealer,,your not the only one having this problem,good luck with it,,i hope this help,s

    Your truck should be under warranty.

    If you are having a shimmy problem, make an appointment at the dealers service department and have them check it out.

    There could be one of many things,

    something as small as a tire out of balance or something major like a ball joint problem (there were ball joint recalls on some older Dakota trucks last year)

    It won't cost you anything and it's better to be safe than sorry.

    The only problem I ever had with my Dak that was remotely related to "shimmy" was warped rotors causing a little wobble during braking.

    have the front wheel bearing spindle checked out some of them can wear prematurely
