    It means either I love you a lot or I like you a lot. If the girl is a native Spanish-speaker, you may not want to read too much into it because in the Hispanic culture, this is commonly said to friends and/or is a common way of saying goodbye at the end of spending time together or hanging up on the phone. The way to say that you love someone as in romantic love, is "te amo" (I love you) or "te amo mucho" (I love you a lot). Good luck (buena suerte)!

    Hi!

    In English "Te quiero mucho" would be translated as "I love you very much". But it should not be taken as the English "I love you".

    "Querer" is a Spanish verb that could be equivalet to the english verbs "To want" and "To love". In this case, it would be more equivalent to the later one (Love).

    However!!! "Te Quiero", is a more subtle way of love.

    "Te quiero" is used for friends, cared ones, family, etc. "Te Quiero mucho" is a reinforcerment for this same subtle form: I don't just "love you", i "love you very much".

    Now... the "I LOVE YOU" like in boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband language, would be in Spanish "Te Amo". And this is not waht the girl said. "Te Amo" is the actual "I love you" thing, though it sometimes it is used for close family ("I love my mom"/ "amo a mi mamá").

    In Spanish there is kind of a scale. Here it goes from the minor value to the big "Ilove you":

    1. Te aprecio ( )

    2. Te quiero (+)

    3. Te quiero mucho (++)

    4. Te adoro (+++)

    5. Te amo (++++)

    With "Te quiero Mucho" she's saying that she cares a lot for you... not that she "loooooves" you, ok?

    I wouldn't read much into it, but I wuldn't close to the possibility that something might be also developing.

    Goodluck!

    It mean, "I care very much for you." It can mean that you thinks of you as a very, very dear person (a very good friend) or, depending on the circumstances, it can mean more. Don't read into it. Accept the fact that someone thinks of you, period. She may indeed mean more, and you'll know soon enough (when the time is right).
