Would you like one day?
For you people that dont want to spayed or neuter your pets try a day at a Humane Society and see all of the cats and dogs that are put down .Not a happy thing to see and have to do.

I absolutely agree with you! It is an absolute crime that nearly 15 million animals are euthanized every year because of a lack of homes. This problem could be solved so easily if everyone would just spay or neuter. Not to mention that it is so much healthier for the pet!
There is no excuse not to spay or neuter than irresponsibility and laziness. You can take them to the Humane Society or SPCA and they will do the surgery for free. There is also no excuse for not adopting an animal from a shelter other than selfishness. It says a LOT about the world we live in today!

Yes the message is clear spy or neuter your pets.
what if you want your pet to reproduce one day? Just say NO! How can you or anyone consider breeding ther cats or dgos when there are thousands upon thousands upon thousands of puppies and kitten that are negelected, abused, thrown away and euthanized!
Oh but you will find nice homes for the babies your animal produces! A cat or a dog is 10 to 20 year commitment! Keep im mind that young people who rent apartments will most likely end up needing to move to a place that will NOT allow pets and thier animal gets thrown away! YOung couples with small children? The kids will very likely hurt the animal (small children just do not understsand) and once they see how much trouble that puppy actually is and how it chews on the baby the puppy will either be abused, thrown away or put out side. ( for your information Dogs are a pack animal and they need companionship putting a dog outside and leaving it is like taking a 2 year old child and putting it in solitary confinement! Most dogs tied out, alone, for gotten except to be fed, actually become mentally ill!) and a cat aht scratchs a baby that hurts it is likely to be throw clear across room at a distant wall! . SAme goes for kittens who scratch playing!
Then there are the people who want a dog instead of an alarm system. They put the dog out in the yard in all kinds of weather, not attention except to give them food or water. Usually they get the cheapest dog food that barely sustains life and guarantees that dog health problems and joint problms, and a very short life!
Divorce is a good example too. Peole often use pets as a weapon in a divorce. They will either fight over who get the pet or worse the pet will get terribley abused becuase the other person loves it . And people involved in a divorce will just move off and leave thier pets. That happen more often than you know!!!
Old people pass away and no one wants the pet they leave behind. There are terrible people who take dogs tie them so they are deffensless and use then to train other dogs to fight by allowing the other dog to tear them to pieces!
I guess you get my point by now. Wake up!! This country has a pet problem. A terrible problem. At this point in our history there is really no excuse for ANYONE to purposely breed a cat or dog!!! I fyou want a kittne or a puppy go to the animal shleter and look at all th eeyes pleading for a good home. A home that will give tender care and nutritious food and saftey!!!!!!!!!

I agree.
No animal should be killed for reasons such as this. All cities, towns, states, and whatever, should require spaying and neutering for ALL domestic animals.
Never buy from a breeder or a pet store.

I have said this before and I will say it again. The rules of AKC for registering a dog are pitifully weak. They even admit you should not inbreed but do nothing to stop the registering of the product of inbreeding. They leave this totally up to the breeder.
In Europe, for a German Shepherd to be registered - pink papered - it has to have a Schutzhund title and then is Körklassed as 'recommended for breeding' or 'suitable for breeding' - the third is 'not suitable for breeding'. This basically proves the dogs' worthiness to breed. We have nothing like this in place to prevent dogs that are not standard to the breed description or known genetic faults from breeding. (i.e. bad/dysplastic hips)

I agree with you. Too many pets in the shelters die while ignorant fools breed their dogs for stupid reasons. Some people just dont get it.

I totally agree, Once you educate yourself on in and outs of the shelter then you have a differ perspective on things.
