Should Francona be fired?
The guy has made one dumb decision after another, none of them have been high profile but you can see he is absoloutly awful if you analyze the little decisions.

Without varitek behind the plate there was no hope for that bullpen. Francona is untouchable for at least another year. After the Yankees got healthy(for the lame yankee fan. matsui and sheff do not add up to the Sox injurys), Tavarez, Saenez and a 41 year old Timlin were the only healthy relievers to run out against the AL. To make it worse, lopez was catching. The offense was depleated and Theo did nothig at the trading deadline(granted other than Abreu there was nothing worth while). Francona could do nothing. No manager could have saved this season.

You say he's made one dumb decision after another, but you can't mention one. Let me guess, you're either a Yankee fan or a non-Red Sox fan that think they know why the Red Sox didn't make it.
Terry Francona is one of the best managers the Red Sox have had I commend him for handling the Red Sox problems in a proper manner.
You know who I think you get fired? You.

No. The guy got them a championship, he should be given another chance. Besides, if anyone is to blame for Boston's collapse it should be the GM. The Yankees got Lidle, Wilson, and Abreu. The Sox traded for Javy Lopez and then released him a couple of weeks later, let Wells return to the Pads, got lucky with Papelbon.

He shouldn't be fired, but that guy has some serious health problems. He's got a bad ticker and there were reports that he was coughing up blood during there last trip to Seattle. For his family's sake I hope he retires soon.

1) You don't fire the man that lead you to your first World Series win in 86 years.
2) You don't fire a coach who calls their players "Murph, Foulkey, Papi, and Youk."
3) Injuries are to blame not him.

No,,COME ON GUYS GIVE THE GUY A BREAK!! although i'm a die hard yankee fan,Terry shouldn't be fired. His demeanor kinda reminds me of Joe Torre's, It wasn't him that traded all his best players.I think it should be Theo that they fire.He killed the Sox this yr.

no, since there have been so many injuries on the red sox that they haven't had a real chance since late july to beat the yankees. if he had an intact roster, they'd do better. he's not entirely to blame for their slide.

i dont think so, i'd like to see him make dumb moves and run the sed sox right into the ground, he should have made a move before the deadline

I agree with Jose M and nacboy, no you do not fire him, injuries and and the GM are at fault for this season.

i disagree the first guys opinion cuz the yank were the same thing too. they lost pavanno, matsui, sheffield. but they rebounded
