mistakes in textbooks?
is it forgivable when there are spelling mistakes in textbooks? what if the teacher never went through that page with the mistake and it comes out during the exams?
shouldnt they check the textbook thoroughly before selling it in the market?

It is forgivable because these things happenand sometimes even after all that checking and proof-reading some things just pass by unseen.
What is not forgivable is when a teacher puts that word in the exam and insist that you get the right spelling.
It should have been the responsibility of the teacher in the first place to correct this error. The burden of having failed to do so shouldn't be passed on the students.

I wouldn't be too worred about spelling mistakes. If you can spot them, then rest assured, your teacher is not going to mark your answer WRONG just because it is "not the same as the textbook". I don't think the teacher will be that dumb...

Mistakes happen...I remember seeing errors in textbooks when I was in high school & college. Pitifiul that they don't catch them .... those are usually some $$$ books & you'd think they could afford to spend a bit on copy editors. Anyway, mistakes are just that & there will be errors / typos in print forever.....
