Recently my son went through three knee surgerys at the age of 16 before he finally saw a specialist in Omaha, Nebraska named Dr. Brown. He was losing cartilage slowly because of a previous sports injury that created a hole in his cartilage that increased wear the more he exercised. To answer your question. Yes, cartilage can be grown but the body does not replace it. It must be grown in a laboratory. Talk to Dr. Brown
