Absolutely! This is becoming very common where people wish to have a regular viewing and funeral followed by cremation. There are caskets designed specifically for cremation, and the are very attractive for the viewing. Also, some funeral homes still have rental caskets wherin you would do just that, "rent" a casket for the viewing and funeral. At the end of the funeral, instead of going to the cemetery, you go to the crematory. Hope this helps!!

You still have a service which ever way you decide and a viewing happens well before the funeral anyway so you can have both if you wish. i want to be cremated too, I'm not going to know anything about it and a burial is too hard on family.

You can have a funeral, but there will be nothing to view. Oh, ooops - I guess you can get cremated after everything. I guess you can have and plan whatever you want!

i think is a better choice gettin cremated and be able to choose where you go instead a hole in the ground ... you can have a funeral or viewing just not buried :) hope your not going too soon lol

I think the viewing and the cremation should be done at the same time.

of course you can just speak with your family and organise what you would prefer but try and keep it a happy occasion by getting people to remember your good life and not the bad times its a strange question to ask but i hope i've helped to answer it

Yes you can and if I were you, I would have memorial ceremony with all your pictures and have people speak on your behalf but I hope you don't leave anytime soon. Live long and prosper.
