Selling on ebay question?
Is it expensive or a rip off to pay someone else to sell my things on ebay? I don't have a computer at home or the time. I tried to find out how much they will charge me and they tell me it depends on how much the item sells for. Has anyone else gone through someone else to sell and was it worth it?
I'm not selling crap either. I'm selling valuable things.

I have sold things on ebay and have never heard of anyone having problems with people who sell things on behalf of others. These people are verified by Ebay as sellers and I think you should contact Ebay and get a list of those who do this. You are on the computer at the moment posting this question so it may be easier for you to sell them yourself. It is very easy really ( I am technologically challenged and I do it) and you might feel safer from rip-offs that way. They cant tell you how much it costs because it is calculated on a percentage of the sale price so something that sells for $10 is going to be a different amount than something that sells for $500. Good luck with your Ebaying.

Selling can be a pain. You have to answer questions, get the payment, pack and ship the item. You need to know how to make a auction a go get'er. You want to have a lot of people bidding on your auction, so you need to know when to start and stop your action, and the right price. If you know all of these things then you can do it. I say look on ebay to see what the same items are going for so you know in advance what you will be getting. I always start my auctions on sunday nights and end them on a sunday night (most people are on ebay sunday nights because most people are free). I also start my auctions at 1 cent. I want a lot of people to be bidding on my item - start a bidding war. I know people that start the auction at what they want for the item, that is a bad idea. If they get any bids then maybe one or 2. If you start your auction low then you will get people competing for you item.
The standard fee is 10% so if he is asking more don't do it!

My mothers and fathers used to do an incredible type of merchandising on Ebay and an incredible type of the time they might seem to contemporary activities to return to a call what to purchase. that they had a quite huge number of books, political and activities memorabilia. they might see what politicians, activities figures or activities have been interior the information and can sell something that they had that grew to become into appropriate. i think of that what sells on Ebay is in all probability an ever-changing element.

The only difference in having someone else do it for you is that they will charge you probably 20% of what the item sells for to cover the costs of listing it, insertion fees, paypal fees, packaging and shipping. I think its worth it if you dont have the means to do it yourself. Good luck

Don't you have siblings or friends who own a computer? You can even use your computer at work during break or skip lunch and do your own thing... it's completely acceptable. I don't see the point in hiring someone else to sell things for you unless it's a house or some kind of assess.

It is pretty easy selling stuff yourself. Just take some good pictures and create a good description. Look at other ads for similar things. If you are not confident shipping, get a proffesional co. like The UPS Store to pack and ship.

You aren't getting anything for it not selling it. Try one item and see what happens. It takes time to get good pictures of your product, list and keep track of the auction, pack and ship the item, so, yes I think it's worth it. Don't forget paypal charges & auction and listing fees from e-bay!
