I heard a Spanish boy call another what sounded like an 'essay.' What did he call the other boy?

    essay is used alot by the latino,especially mexican community..it is a slang word for "buddy"...kind of like saying "hey pal"...

    U heard "ese" which means "that one" so its like saying "hey you" ...but its kind of cheap any way...something people on the border do right? like cholos and stuff like that. Is a normal word, is just they employ it in a different way to mean "hey u" that´s all.

    Ese (pronounced essay) simply means "that". He might have been telling the boy to get something and referring to "that" -- ese
