Addictive personality disorder?

I got in trouble from Yahoo for offering to help someone polish up an essay. After all of the sacrifices I've made to be here: day in, day out. I stopped working, showering, eating, sleeping in order to support Yahoo Answers. *sniff*sob*

You don't need a psychologist. The world needs more caring people like yourself. I am sure this isn't the first time you ever got in trouble by trying to help someone and it surely won't be your last either. I suggest turning your other cheek, smile and don't be upset. You are the better person here. Like they say "It takes one to know one" lol

Start by first asking yourself if you really want to go through the experience of finding a psychologist. It is a difficult process finding one that specializes in specific disorders. For some reason psychologists don't specialize unless they go to grad school, where they usually pick up their specialization.

The struggle finding one that can and will help you is tedious, especially if you live in a rural area. You spend a lot of energy trying to find one that can actually help you, while most people can somewhat help themselves.

If you do decide to go through the process of finding a psychologist that will help you with your particular needs, a good place to start is with your state board of health. They will be able to give you an idea where to start looking. Along with that check the credentials of your psychologist along with complaints filed against him or her. (Be safe with your brain - don't let someone tinker with it that has been reported too many times)

    Hope that helps
