Stalinism is the political and economic system named after Joseph Stalin, who implemented it in the Soviet Union.

The term "Stalinism" was first used by Trotskyists opposed to the regime in the Soviet Union, which they called a "degenerated workers' state", particularly in an attempt to separate the policies of the Soviet communist state from those they regarded as more true to Marxism. It was soon adopted also by anarchists and anti-communists.

Like many other "-isms" it is also used as a pejorative term when referring to nation-states, political parties, or the ideological stance(s) of individuals, particularly those exhibiting bureaucratic collectivism.

Trotskyism is the theory of Marxism as advocated by Leon Trotsky. Trotsky considered himself a Bolshevik-Leninist, arguing for the establishment of a vanguard party. He considered himself an advocate of orthodox Marxism. His politics differed sharply from those of Stalin or Mao, most importantly in declaring the need for an international "permanent revolution". Numerous groups around the world continue to describe themselves as Trotskyist and see themselves as standing in this tradition, although they have diverse interpretations of the conclusions to be drawn from this.

The term "Trotskyism" is sometimes also used critically by those from a Stalinist or social democratic background to denote any of various political currents claiming a tradition of Marxist opposition to both Stalinism and capitalism.

"Trotskyism is not a new movement, a new doctrine, but the restoration, the revival of genuine Marxism as it was expounded and practiced in the Russian revolution and in the early days of the Communist International." - James P. Cannon in History of American Trotskyism.

Although I do not know about Troysky but about Stalin, what can I say? There are simply no words of praise in this universe which can fit for a being like him. It was Joseph Stalin under whom the Red-Army destroyed the Nazis and made Hitler commit suicide.

Joseph Stalin introduced Industrialization which made the USSR a super-power in no time at all. Development in Science and Technology flourished under him. Agriculture increased under his rule.

As for Trotsksy, he was a coward who fled the Soviet Union and sat somewhere in Cuba. Whatever the Soviet Union has achieved it was all because of JOSEPH STALIN.

Stalin was a Bolshevik while Trotsky was a Menshevik, at least to start with anyway.

Trotsky was even worse, Trotsky wanted the whole country in a working camp.

That's just the conclusion I came to after reading about him. I could be wrong.
