Bought a spaghetti squash @ the farmers market...how do I know when it is ripe you use? I forgot to ask (Duh)!

    Ripe = yellow outside

    cut in half, invert (cut side down) in a large pan with 1/2" water in it. Simmer 15 mins. Scrape meat out of shell. add butter, sour cream, any spice you like. Excellent with spaghetti sauce with or without meat. Enjoy!

    if you just bought it its ripe they are a fall veg. they will stay for several weeks if you keep in a cool place. I like to bake / sausage and a little maple syrup 350 45 min.

    It's ready I never had a problem you cook it any ways bake it in oven for 30 minutes on 350 I had it last week with chicken, garlic, ovo, parmasen cheese and sugar snaps my family loves it
