Star Ocean Till the end of time; How to get bunny race points!!!?

withour further explanation. is there any tricks in winning the god damn bunny race, and get those points ASAP? i've spent around 6 hours and only ended up with 11 points so far (completing the game and getting the trophy requires 1000 points). i can't take it anymore!!! do you know any cheat, codes for action replay/game sharks or anything, that will give me quick points. pretty pleasee.

ps: i know that all the guides say that it's totally random. but i'm just so desperate. so the only thing that can do it are codes right?.

i'll definitely give a best answer for those who can help me.
