what is the reason for filing your nails down?

why do the nail salon use that electric filer and file the nails down than put acrylic on top of it. Knowing when you take the acrylic off your nails are going to be weak. Is there a reason fo that.

So the acrylic can adhere better to both the nail and tip. Gives it more of an area to grab onto.

Best advice, ditch the tips. I'm sure your nails are pretty just the way they are.

They file the nails down because if you clip them, it give the nail kind of a sqaure-y look but if you file them, it gives it more shape and it looks a lot better!

And after you take an acrylic off, it could make your nails all soft because of all of the glue and stuff they put on acrylics. (And NEVER have an acylic all the time, it can reaaallly make you nails soft and un-healthy!)
