Do I report Fraud in the council to trading standards UK?
Trying to find the correct body to report fraud in the council to. They have faked documents and I can prove it.
You really think the police!!!
They have faked a document as part of a planning enforcent notice and certified that it is a true and correct copy of an original, however they already provided one copy and the two are completly different and not the same.
The have faked the plan on the second notice!!!

Hello...It would seem it is definately fraud.
Therefore report it to everyone you can...especially to the police, giving them photo copies of the documents concerned, and insist you wish for them to act upon it immediately.
Ask for a case number straight away, as you intend to take it up with your solicitor as well, this way the police will act quickly.
The main crime you want to have them charged with will be...Fraud...but under, Computer Misuse Act 1990.
This will mean the main offence of Fraud is a full 'criminal' offence, and at least two major players within the offending council will be charged...the assigned Data Protection Officer and The Chief Executive.
Source(s): Did this myself to members of the South Shropshire District Council, over maladministration and 'not' recording data on my case file/diary file...this is held on everyone who pays the obnoxious and thieving council tax. - Anonymous1 decade ago
The Local Government Ombudsman may eventually be the way to go but are usually only interested if you have exhausted a Council's complaints procedure & in this case I imagine that may not be the way you want to go. If this involves some kind of financial dishonesty or forgery or is indeed 'fraud' as you say - go to the police first.

Try the Local Government Ombudsman. Do a google search on them.
Trading Standards are generally part of the Council, so if there is some kind of cover up you wont get much help from them.
Go to the press if you have proof.

This is a criminal offence and you should take a copy of all evidence and report it to the police. Trading standards arn't really the people to go to in this instance because it is way too big for them.
Good luck.
