It sounds like you are going through the change and have a hormone imbalance. That is perfectly normal and can be corrected with hormone treatments. Your doctor will be able to tell if that is what your problem is with a blood test. After your start taking the hormones you will feel like your old self again. I hope you get the help you need because I know how hard it is when you are depressed. God be with you

Please go see a psychiatrist as soon as you can. I am a very upbeat active person--the last person in the world you would think would get depressed. Three years ago I did--I could not stop crying. Fortunaetly my sister got me to a psychiatrist.

She put me on Prozac to start off with--it made me too hyper. I was then switched to Paxil. This helped some--but it killed my sex drive--which depressed me further. Finally I was put on Wellbutrin. It worked really well. And for me--that along with some positive thinking and exercise with my monthly visits to the doctor got me back to normal. After about 18 months I was taken off the medication. And so far have been perfectly fine. However, if ever again there was any sign of the problem I would RUN to the doctor.

You do the same--don't delay--you will be better--I know.

i've been taking zoloft for 3 years now and it works great. i have no major side effects and it only took about 2 weeks to kick in.

but becoming active and getting outdoors once in a while helped too-you should try this.

talk to your doctor about what medicine is best for you-but please do something-depression is a chemical imbalance-it won't go away on it's own-and don't let anyone tell you that medicine is not the answer-the only way to treat a chemical imbalance is WITH medication to balance it back out...

    good luck to you

Make an appointment with your doctor right away. You need to be evaluated for your depression and to determine the cause.

There are many anti-depressant, anti-anxiety medications on the market today, but only your doctor can determine which one is right for you based on his findings . No one at Yahoo answers should even venture a guess.

Call today! Depression is serious, but is easily treatable.

first, u have to accept the fact of what happend. (whatever it is..) acceptance can do something to eliminate if not, minimize depression. second, go to the doctor for the medicine. third, make urself busy of something. go out with friends.. and most especially, prayers can do a lot... Surrender everything to the LORD.. have no worries.. GOD Bless!
