Alright, so there is this guy, and he's older than me.....help please?

My boyfriend is definately goth. All pierced up and tattoos everywhere. Most people are afraid of him! Hair longer than mine. You could probably say I'm a soccer mom! (I hate the way that sounds) We don't look like we belong together but who cares we're happy.

If you both can wait I see nothing wrong with it. But how much younger are you? Do you need to wait another 5 years? You may not want to wait that long. Check out other guys while you are waiting. It may just be the fact that he is older and tells you that you are cute. If it's meant to be, he'll still be there when you are old enough. But get to know other guys while you are waiting.

Drop the sub-culture thing. Don't let that get in the way of liking someone for who they are inside. That's childish and will keep you from finding someone good for you.

Now, onto the big issue. He's older, old enough that you didn't want to mention your age. I suggest you let it go and maybe when you're 18 and he comes back from college, you two can hook up.

Stick with guys your age. The playing field isn't level when you date someone too old for you. I'm in a relationship with someone 4 1\2 years older and I don't think I'd go older than that, but I'm also 18 (nearly 19) and very dominant and I demand certain things in my relationships. So I force things to level out.

You and college boy are in two different worlds and places in life. I just don't think it will be healthy for you. If its meant to be, it will happen... but LATER.

It really depends on how old you are, and how long you have until you're 18. Do you really want to spend years waiting on this guy? My advice would be to just continue being friends with him, and when you're older, if you still feel that way then go for it. But in the mean time live your life, and let him live his. It might be hard to see him with another girl, but if you let him know how you feel and he's a gentleman he won't bring it in front of your face. Good luck

Just maintain your friendship it just doesn't seem like the right time for you two to get together. Relationships at a distance don't seem to work well especially when one person is at college. There are just too many opportunities for something to happen. So the best bet is to stay close with him and when situations are better you can see how it will work then. Plus you are young so you have plenty of time to worry about relationships.

Well u can really discourage other girls from getting him. but if hes willing to wait till ur older then talk to him about it. u being a goth and him being a nerd has nothing to do with it. just as long as u both learn to live with ur differences

pure and simple. let him go. Just you saying that you are willing to wait shows signs of immaturity. do you really think this guy is going to wait until he is 20 or older to date you?? come on get real. you might get mad at me now, but one day you will remember this and realize how immature you were being about it.

You wait until he won't go to jail for dating you. My guess is that you are about 13 or 14? It's nothing against you, but he needs a girl that is closer to his age to address his "needs".

If your younger than 16 hes probably not interested

If hes smart, he wont go near you until you hit 18.

wait til you are older...you could get him in alot of trouble being so young. stereotypes always change as they grow older
