    They are fair ONLY if administered evenly. Sadly in our public education system, if your a jock, cheerleader or one of the social elite. Your punishment will be less severe then if you are just an average student.

    Schools have a LOT of double standards and this is from my observations from when I was a Police Officer.

    Sure they are. By the way, no school or university or even the Supreme court itself can be fair and even at administering them. So its just your hard luck if you are the one who got caught and got punished. But the are surely there to teach us responsibility and to make the order of the society. Cheers

    Some times the punishment is far from fare and sometimes it is not enough. Not everything in life is fair.
