How can I get Yahoo email to notify me with a sound when I receive an email?
I know Outlook makes a sound and AOL, but I was wondering if I could set up Yahoo to make a sound when I get an email instead of having to check my mail every 2 seconds.

If you use Yahoo Messenger then everytime you recieve a new mail in the account you're logged in a notification appears on your screen with a sound, and even if you miss that notification you can check the number of mails in your inbox simply by hovering your mouse cursor on an icon.
So Y! messenger is your solution.

If you get the Instant Messenger, then it can notify you with a sound, or a little box, and with a little icon when you get new mail. It's very convenient. If you get the Yahoo toolbar, then it shows the number of new messages by the mail icon. You'll like it.

Go to yahoo messenger preferences > alerts and sounds .. click on enable alerts sounds box and make sure that all the boxes in this page are checked
