Is it a legal requirement to have an odd number of voting directors?

For a corporation, is it legal to have an even number of voting members on the board of directors?

How about for an LLC? In the state of California.

No, it is not a law that you need an odd number. It only makes sense though, so you don't have a split vote.

In a suited worldwide, the respond could be a reliable No. notwithstanding, because of gender bias the place women who're thoroughly in a position and often lots greater desirable at being directors are omitted because of fact there's a male who qualifies, the regulation is made needed. The worst area with regard to the completed ingredient is the reality that there is a want for the regulation.
