what is wrong with yahoo messenger?????

Question

whenever I open messenger and try to chat with my friends, I can't see what they are typing to me, so I have to delete their ID from my list and add them again in order to be able to chat. It's very annoying, there should be a fix for this problem, but after I wrote to yahoo about it, the only answer I received from them was an automated answer that someone will contact me within 24 hours(got the same message twice...)to answer my question, and no one ever did....Anyone has any idea why this keeps on happening?

Its been seriously glitchy since the upgrade. If it doesnt get any better maybe you could try downloading one of the previous version. They were far more stable.

This is regarding virus in yahoo messanger.
There's a virus which controls your status message & sends a message to group members which are added in your contact list.
 
Actually, some window suddenly comes on scrren, changes the status message, & shows a pop up message that a message is sent to group! It is a virus!
 
These messages may contain web addresses or even slang statements.
 
I think this is a very serious matter, so please take care that no such virus enters in your computer.
 
This virus is stored in a system, I changed the system in cyber cafe & the problem got solved.
 
Kindly neglect such (offline/online) messages in yahoo messanger sent by my id.

You could consider uninstall you current Yahoo! Messenger and download from http://www.filehippo.com/download_yahoo_messenger/.  The latest version is Yahoo! Messenger 8.0.0.716.  There is also a list of previous versions on the right for you to select.

No I don't have any idea why this is happening but Uninstall Yahoo Messenger and reinstall it and see how that works.  Good Luck

If you use yahoo messenger 8 it's a mass bug still yet to be solved.  To work around this issue, your gonna have to remove yahoo messenger 8 and install yahoo messenger 7.0...

they r 2 main reasons 4 this
1.probably u dint download Ur yahoo messanger properly
2.there may be a problem with ur pc software

when  you see "beta version" don't download it unless your prepared for a few teething problems  BETA=still in the testing stages
