The Nobel Prize for literature goes to authors who are innovative and thought provoking. Anything that is unlike what has gone before and that provokes people to think is a sure thing to be controversial - some people don't like anything that is new and different and exposes them to different ideas, and quite a few people do not like to think. If that is what you are like, maybe you should try to develop more acceptance of new ideas and new thoughts. It doesn't mean you have to accept the ideas or thoughts, but it would be better to be able to appreciate new ideas and ways of looking at things, even if you do not agree.
