My own search for attention continues.

My novel has been in print only one month now, and I'm still looking for free or cheap ways

to publicize it. This has been helpful:

I've put out classifieds, submitted to search engines, and created blogs. I like multiply best.

No such thing as the word FREE in the publicity media !!

Start a "book-chain": Leave a copy of your book on the table in a cafe. On the inside of the cover you write: "Read this book, and pass it on. Take it with you and when you've read it, leave the book on the table of another cafe, so that others can read it too." Your book is then bound to get noticed.

Take copies to all your local libraries and ask if they can do a story session for the recommended age group. Get feedback from the children and parents and use this when youapproach the publishers.
