My grandparents were Immigrants from Russia, well, Estonia and Russia, and although I was born in the USA, I can tell you they had a difficult life over there that improved immensely when they reached America.

definitely no longer! There are a super many immigrants from the former u.s. who're no longer Jews, have not ties to Judaism (no longer even a far off Jewish grandparent), and don't evaluate themselvs Jewish, some are lively Christians. on the same time as, I evaluate this an entire different challenge. basically an extremely small minority of those immigrants are neoNazis, via no ability do they replicate the completed Russion immigration. there have been present day incidents of NeoNazi cells being got here upon and a few antiSemitic assaults.

My husband is a Russian Jew who immigrated to Israel and then to Canada. He never had any problem about being Jewish, a lot of his friends were also Jews. He actually is a Christian though but diffenitely looks Jewish. He only left for Israel because his mother wanted to, he wanted to stay in Russia and has always missed it. He immigrated later to Canada but always talked about how much he missed Russia, that is until he visited recently and saw that everything had changed.

I'm not Jewish but I was in Russia and in some former USSR country's , I saw that all people want to live better and they though that in US they have more chances for the best life.
This situation is not only in Russia , but for ex in Tashkent and in Alma-Ata and in Kiev too.
Как гласит поговорка - хорошо там , где нас нет.
