    start calling junkyards ask if they have a hood for a grand prix of that year. they'll be able to tell you what years grand prix/monte carlo you can get a hood from and if they got any.

    another thing you can do is find some automotive discussion forums for that vehicles. there's always someone wtih a few parts cars, might have a few things they want to sell.

    The answers these guys have given you are good answers. If used is OK with you, call your local junk yard (auto recycler). If they don't have your part, they are also computer connected to do a search with a whole bunch of other auto recyclers to find your part. Really convenient....

    Sorry but I hate to break the bad news to you, inside the transmission theres a part called a parking pall, what this part does is when u put the shifter in park the parking pall locks up the shaft inside the tranny, to access the parking pall the tranny has to come out of the car, theres no other easy fix for your cars problems, the noise you hear is more an likely chunks of that parking pall tearing up the rest of the parts inside the tranny.

    i own a repair shop,and i always find good body parts from a good junk Yard there usually real good parts,,and cheap also,sometimes you get lucky enough to find the right color you need also,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

  • hunt the local junk yard. good chance you can find a good one on a car that was hit in the back or just died of owner neglect.
