how can we generate life if we have the exact composition of plasma?

    HI:

    Plasma is not the only factor. There are tons of other components that make up a cell.

    If you have read any Biology, which I guess you have from your question, you are aware of the complexities of the cell. This is a field of intense debate for quite sometime now.

    There was a recent Nature article where scientists had synthesized a virus from scratch. Synthesizing a bacterial cell would be much much more complex, even if you have all the components. We, currently, have very little idea on how the cell components interact with each other.

    This is the question that has been troubling philosophers and biologists for centuries. The best answer you will find to this is by reading the book "The Selfish Gene" by Richard Dawkins. Trying to answer the question otherwise would not do the subject justice.

    Add in some deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) or ribonucleic acid (RNA).
