Ok please don't listen to these people about Dells. Dells are really bad computers. I know I work in PC Repair and I see them all the time they use really cheap parts that break and when they do they won't fix it and you have to fix it on your own or pay someone to do it (I had to go through this with my moms computer).

Anyway, out of those three computers I would go with the Gateway I will tell you why, the Gateway computers Have really nice cases with them, they have a lot of room for upgrading and not a lot of clutter. They don't come with a whole lot of software that you don't need like hp's and compaq's all that software does is make the computer run slower. With that, all the Gateways out of the box run faster then the hp's with the same specs. I think the Gateways are a little cheaper in the long run. In the end its up to how much you wanna spend and who has the best price with all the options that you need.

I agree with above post. Those computers kinda suck. I owned a compaq and it lasted like 2 1/2 years before its motherboard went bad and to replace it was a waste of money seeing how newer technology was out. Gateway I don't know much about. Hp a friend had it was down within a year. Dell however is great I refer everyone dell cause of there support. Which is great unless you get some guy from india and then you have to keep asking what? over and over. But if you do go with dell or any computer brand I recommend taking atleast a 3 year warrenty not those 1 and 2 year ones cause it probably want break within 2 years.

I've got an HP Pavilion Entertainment PC..and it's a really good machine. My brother the tech geek selected it..he has a Dell and my dad has a Compaq (also selected by my brother). we've had an Acer and an E-MachineDesktop as well..I'd say the HP and Dells have been the best.

Deffinately DeLL it is much better quality than Comaq. Compaq is what it says it is an internally compact built therefore it does not have enough breathing room and probably wont last you no more than 2 years where as the Dell it is not internally compact built. It has plenty of breathing room and will last you close to 10 years. Not to mention that DeLL has better services.

I say go with dell. That is the best choice. The only thing that is bad about it is their support. I would suggest you email them or do the computer messaging if you ever need support. Wait about 1 month to buy it because 1 day it will drop like $200.
