How can I do skateboard tricks such as kickflip, ollie, and other basics?

I just interested myself in this whole skateboarding thing, and was wondering if somebody out there knew the fastest easiest way to learn and perform skateboard tricks. And, this question is also asked because my friend is skeptical of my ability and I wish to, in as long as it takes, to prove him wrong. He has been skating for a few years, but I believe with the help of yahoo Answers I will and can be vistorious!

alrighty now lol here we go....first of all check out bob's trick tips .com (yes it's a real site) and look at their tricks.....second make sure you have a board that fits you...okay a ollie is simple but takes a while to learn for a begineer....first make sure your feet are set up right, your back foot should be on the tail of the board ( i like to use the ball of my foot only...but you get less pop sometimes), and your front foot should be around 1-2 inches behind the bolts....but feel free to adjust! then slide your front foot up to the front of the board, keeping your weight over the center of the board NOTE: when sliding your foot be sure to turn it on it's side...causing a smooth drag...then begin to prepare for the landing by bending your knees and absorbing the shock....this is a very brief description of a ollie....but for more detailed instructions email me or go to bobstricktips.com

first off skating is not about who is better then the other its about you enjoying yourself and what your doing... If you are really interested in skating i would start off small learn to ollie and get it down and were you can ollie over a board or two then move on to bigger and better tricks.. The best way to learn tricks is by trying them first hand and having others show you ways of doing them everyone is diffrent and will have a diffrent way of doing tricks and setting up thier feet for them so find the way the fits you.. Just have fun skate and learn as much as you can and practice as much as you can..

ok draw close your foot somewhat behing the bolts and attitude it at abough a 40 5 dergree attitude positioned you decrease back foot style of a million/2 interior the concave of your board a million/2 out and as you ollie attempt pushing your decrease back foot out in front of oyu i comprehend it feels weird and wonderful on the commencing up yet once you push your decrease back foot out it helps with the catch and you will initiate landing some than after a litte on an identical time as you ultimately get em without thinking to juch an identical undertaking got here approximately to me besides and now im doing hardflips and bigflips and stuff dontworry you get it

hey man, ur friends lame. he should not be skeptical. anyways, ollie's 1st. u kinda hafta master piviting 1st, tho. but anyways, you stomp ur tail down, and slide ur front foot so that it allmost reaches the nose, then push ur front foot down to level out.

ok, kickflip. this will take a while 2 learn. you hafta be able to ollie 1st. anways, you stomp your tail down, jus like ollie, but flick ur foot instead of slide it. u can practice on the ground, w/out board, little "ninja" kicks. makes u get the feel of kick. the board must then roll under you, and u gotta see the board hit ur feet. then ur down!
