Why don't the chocolate chips in choc chip cookies melt when you bake them?

    They do. You ever tried one right out of the oven? Be careful not to burn your mouth.

    They don't all melt, but most of them get gooey.

    Cook them a little longer.

    They melt but its still a solid, it melts in place so if you touch it it will lose its shape.

    I never understood that either cause they melt on your hands when you are eating them. I don't get it either. I guess it is just one of life's mysteries.

    They are infused w/ a force field when they are baby chiplets.
