There's no truth to that. A well healed bone is usually stronger at the point of the break.

I believe you can't. Astronauts take all these physical tests before they are allowed to go to space and they have to be in perfect health since this is no vacation. Maybe if the bone has healed properly and it doesn't affect his health or the way he would be able to do his work while in space is not affected it would be OK.

You have to keep in mind the fact that being in space has many many side affects, like accelerated blood pressure, muscle atrophy, etc. So even a healthy person can arrive really sick not to mention a person that is already sick

Only reason I could understand that would be that extended times spent in space will weaken your bones. So if they figure out how to create some artifical gravity or a workout program that really works, then I doubt a broken bone will hinder you trip into space.

Perhaps they mean you cannot go into space for some time after a bone is broken. It would take time to fully regain its strength.
