What is the best pet?

rocks are good - low maintenance, cheap, and behave.

cats are definitely the best pets. They are usually very easy-going and fit into busy lifestyles b/c they are perfectly fine sitting at home. Although I'm not saying you should just leave them home all day.. they need just as much love so any pet. And if you're home all day then you have a gentle companion that will sit by you and cuddle. I should know; I have three! They're so adorable! And hilarious! Who needs TV when yo have a cat?

rats make amazing pets, they are highly intelligent, clean, can be trained to do small tricks and learn their names. Ours are very affectionate and sit on out laps and play on out shoulders. Ferrets are also very cool pets but they are a little more time consuming than rats. It really depends on your preference and your life style. Do some on-line research into the car of the pets you'd most like to have.

The best pet is no pet at all.

i think dogs are the best. they do require a little bit of maintance, but they are worth it. they are fun to play with (especially puppies) and they are very loving and they are protective of you. Cats, well they run around the neighborhood, and they dont really bond with you the way dogs do. dogs have always been my favorite pets, and i love my puppy a bunch

i would reccomend a rat (yeah most people hate them but the ones that give em a try usually love them) They cost around 4$, food 4$ and cage 30$. Very cheap, amazingly smart, very nice and loving, i've convinced over 6 people to make a rat part of their family and they all love them (ive had two Gary and Ratie lol) I loved ratie but he died of cancer :'( BUT gary is still with me and i love him and he goes everywhere with me (he fits in my pocket) He is great and loves when i give him chicken and egg. Hes been camping with me, swimming in rivers, swimming in the lake, biking and more. And ive also had pretty much every other pet.AND THEYRE CUTE BABIES BUT EVEN MORE FUN AS ADULTS!

i think dogs because you can pet them unlike fish and they have a closer bond with you than cats.. if youre looking for something more unusual id try a pig. they a really smart and not as dirty as peopl think

I think- it depends on what kind of life You are living :)

For me it is and always will be dog, and on the second place- horse :)
