My son is 9 mths. old...?

He can sit up if you sit him up but he has not learned to get into the sitting position by himself yet. He crawls around the floor like speed racer. He is doing fine with everything else. I no that every baby is different. Should I be concerned with this or just give it time?

Not to worry. He'll come around...I know how it feels. My son's almost eight months and he's still not crawling properly...he kinda drags himself along. But you know, by a certain age, they all level out. Good luck!

Be paitent. Every Baby is different. My son is 6 months old and can stand, crawl and sit alone. If you worry about things like this, you'll end up trying to make your little one do things when he isnt ready. Subconciously or not. Just give him time. He might not learn to sit up by himself till he can walk. It all happens in good time. Goodluck. (ps. try helping him do the *tri-pod*..help him learn to go from laying on his side or crawling up to a sitting position by pulling a straight arm under one side..make sense ? if not, email me and ill explain more..shimily7787@yahoo.com

No you have nothing to be worried about.........all kids are different......

The guidelines given and written in books or whatever information out there are guidelines to say on average when kids should be hitting those milestones......

And besides he's crawling around so he's good....

    NO WORRIES.

I understand.....my daughter didn't walk till almost 15 months and meanwhile all the kids around her have been walking since they were 9 months, 12 months.....so you can't help but wonder or compare......!

    Just try not to!

My nephew is twelve months & only slides around on his bottom! He doesnt sit himself up yet but he can sit by himself. Dont worry, this seems to run in my family & is quite OK. My daughter (now 21 and a dancer) was 15mths before she walked, my other nephews were 14mths. My sisters niece walked at 10 mths & it was a nightmare!

honey, this is going to be hard to do, but RELAX,as long as he is given a lot of love& care,he will turn out fine. i wish someone would have told me that! i worried about every milestone.my daughter, i found out is uniqly herself, somethings she did early, some late.one day you`re thinking, they`ll never learn to only, have them do it the next day or week. she walked late, at 2 they said she wasn`t talking enough, she was 4 before she was potty-trained- only then, because of peer pressure at preschool-she had trouble with learning disabilities, fine motor skills, but a high IQ -kindergarden-excelled 2nd grade reading level at end of year-1st grade diagnosed with adhd, in her own little world, put on medication.2nd grade-a-b honor role she`s in 3rd now, being prepared for AIG, 6th grade reading level.i`ve seen old toddler friends, who were so much smarter than her at 2&3, she is smarter now than they are! even now, one minute she`ll blow me away with her intelligence, the next i think, she`s dummer than a rock ! so, in other words love em, work & read with em, let em get dirty, hold your breath a lot , when he falls, don`t push them, but encourage them.-get him into playgrops early as possible. & LOVE him & accept him for who he is!

i could advise finding yet another daycare/preschool. I extensively utilized to artwork in a daycare and although we strongly inspired toddlers to be potty knowledgeable by way of 3, we never stored a baby in a classification too youthful for them. you're thoroughly appropriate, he won't be springing up intellectually as he ought to if he's getting to know issues for toddlers an entire twelve months youthful than him. maximum baby care centers are very understand-how in a majority of those circumstances. Potty preparation is diverse for each baby and you may't positioned a time shrink on something like that. In my state, this is easily unlawful for a baby to be in the incorrect classification in spite of why they're in that classification. i could talk on your director besides as carry out a little on line examine approximately your states' regulations. All that pronounced, your son will ought to at last be potty knowledgeable. despite if, while a sparkling baby comes into the photograph, he is going to be very jealous and in all probability do issues as a sprint you may still in order that he can scouse borrow a number of your interest away. i could attempt to do issues like examine to him on a similar time as your breastfeeding or set quarter-hour aside for only you and him on a daily basis on a similar time as the little one's dozing. all of us pressuring him to bypass potty despite if this is the daycare will reason him to regress and be much extra unwilling to do it. furnish plenty compliment while he does bypass yet do no longer scold if he does not. only overlook approximately it as though no longer something surpassed off. be advantageous to furnish prizes which incorporate stickers while he does bypass. terrific of luck in potty preparation.
