how do I find out inmate numbers, So I would be able to write to a friend of mine thats incarcerated right now

if the friend is in jail , just go to the jails web site or the county's web site and all you do is type in their first and last names and sometimes you need their birth date. if they are in prison , go to the prisons web site and then you need to call the prison at the number they provide you on their web site. at that time you have to have first , middle ,and last names, as well as their birth date. if they are just recently incarcerated and freshly sentenced you can use the jails web site and they usually can get you the info you need ,but you may need to also call them. NOT THAT I HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE OR ANYTHING LIKE IT.CAUSE I ONLY KNOW GOOD PEOPLE WHO DON'T GET IN TO TROUBLE! yeah rite!!!!! GOOD LUCK
