When there is a written order to give a patient 600 mg asprin and you have 5gr on hand the dosage given?

1gr = 60mg so 5gr = 300mg so you would give the patient 2 gr5 tablets. it is easy to do draw yourself a clock at 12noon put 1gr and 60 mg on it. at 3:00 put 15mg and 1/4 gr at 6:00 put 1/2 gr and 30mg and at 9:00 put 3/4 gr and 45mg. This will help with future conversion.

I don't think this question is worded quite right. The doc wants the patient to get 600mg; that's the "dosage." The doc doesn't care what you happen to have on hand, and probably doesn't care how many tablets or parts of tablets are used to made the dosage.

5grams could make 8 600mg tablets and one 200mg tablet. Or it could make 25 200mg tablets (in which case, it would take 3 tablets to make the dosage).

(If "gr" means "grains," then never mind.)

mg is 1000 grams or 0.001 which I cannot remember because I am no longer working in the pharmacy.

If is 1000 grams then there will be 200 tablets.

If is 0.001 grams then it is impossible.

There is missing information here...5 grams is 5000 mg, but I'm not sure what exactly you are asking.
