I would welcome that. Issues need to be discussed, real issues. What we see now is a bunch of vitriolic ranting and raving about CRAP. OK, so Foley is a perv, and Jefferson is corrupt; what does either have to do with the Gubenatorial race in Iowa? Is there supposed to guilt by association due to party affiliation?

We have accusations and blanket statements flying around with no real evidence or facts included in the diatribe. Then folks wonder why voter turnout is so low...

I would welcome a strong 3rd party. It would give the mindless goons on both sides of the politcal spectrum something else to worry about. The proverbial "Mexican Standoff" in the politcal arena. Hmmmm?! Who do we shoot at? Who's gonna shoot at us? Maybe we better stick to the real issues and promote the solutions we think will work best so we don't get blindsided.

Wouldn't it be great? Not having to sift through all the junk so you can make an informed decision and vote.......

will take another serious terrorist attack to jolt that sentiment back into our society. recall how united the country was immediately following that horrendous day...it was not liberal vs conservative, it was united we stand as a proud nation unwilling to put up w/that crap any longer. would like to think we could get there again without the terror attack to push us in that direction, but i think in times of perceived security/peace the country feels more at ease to quarrel over differences in political opinion than when there is a direct and real threat.

I think we need a new party one in the middle me for example I am for stem cell research for the right to choose but I hope the choice is for life when it come to abortion I think we need to seal the borders and at least document everyone who is hear and fix social security but will that ever happen?
