Would you want to know, if someone died in your apartment?
One of my neighbors committed suicide, with a shotgun, a couple of months later new neighbors moved in. I had never given a thought about what happened in my apartment before I lived there. I don't think the agents have to disclose that information, I didn't tell my neighbors either. I wouldn't really want to know, especially if it was a suicide or murder.

As a property manager, I wouldn't want to know.
Its kinda funny you bring this up. Either in May or June of this year, I had a resident pass away in one of my apartments because of heart failure. I never told the new residents about it, but they did happen to find out from other people who were willing to flap their chops.
And then today, another person died. This girl was living next door to the guy mentioned above. I still don't know the whole story, but she apparently overdosed on some prescription medication. Her boyfriend woke up to find her unresponsive. And his face with all that sadness is probably going to haunt me forever.
I've also had two rapes this past year. And don't forget the fire in one apartment last december.
Some things are better left unknown in my opinion.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://biturl.im/aUN9y
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Most states have laws regarding a "psychological impact" on a property. In some states it applies to rented properyt and in others it does not. In my state( Connecticut)the owner of a property only has to reveal the information if it is requested from the buyer/renter in writing. The law also goes and to define what a psychological impact is.....such as a violent crime, contagious disease....I am not sure that someone dying of natural causes would be considered to have a psyhcological impact.

I always do a quick crime check with the local PD before renting. I'm more interested in how they died. If there's lots of crime in the complex, I'm not going to rent there! A suicide wouldn't bother me so much and natural causes wouldn't bother me at all.

By law in many states, a new owner has to be notified if there was a homicide or suicide on the property. I do not know if that applies to notifying renters, though.

I found out the house we live in in New Orleans, my husbands father shot himself there. The house was originally his Grandparents. I knew long before my husband told me. One of his friends told me one night. My husband told me when we were painting and moving out the furniture and the bullet hole was in the wall.

Wouldn't matter to me as long as they took the body out other wise the air could get rather rancid and smelly in here.

yes. but, only because I'd want to know HOW they died... if it was from a gas leak or drug bust or something like that. that would be enough to want me to live elsewhere... not just from natural causes.
