I think he is saying that they are wandering and wondering why the kids are bigger now. It is the internet era. Most kids are glued to the computers. They are surfing without surfboards! At least they"ll have well toned fingers.

MAKE the kids not burn off energy? where are you getting your info. Nobody ties their kids down. Kids just are spoiled and not made to go outside and play anymore.

I agree with you that a lack of exercise is a problem. Parents also use food or treats as a reward for good behavior, thus encouraging poor eating habits.

I understand what you are saying. I feel lucky to have a skinny child with a very high metabolism. I am overweight and my five year old son has a mini six- pack!
