How does David Blane do his levatating trick?

This was revealed recently in a television programme. It is nothing but a trick. Magicians who demonstrate this trick actually stand at such an angle from their audience that their right foot is totally visible, but only the heel of their left foot is visible...the rest is hidden by the right foot. The magician then slightly lifts his right foot off the ground, and only the heel of his left foot, while the toes of this left foot remain anchored to the ground. It appears to the audience that the person has levitated. It was also revealed in the programme that after the audience disperses, the magician performs this trick with wires and winches with the camera rolling, for the benefit of tv audiences. It is really that simple!

He stands so that you can't see one of his feet properly, and stands on the toes of that foot. It gives the appearance of levitating a couple of inches off the ground.
