Has anyone used the Clearblue easy ovulation predictor?

The ovulation predictor is around $200 and I was wondering if it's worth it.

Have you tried the Clearblue Easy "pee sticks"? They're a lot cheaper and if you haven't been trying for long that might be a better option for you. If you have a Costco near you they actually sell them in a 9 (or 10 pack) it's perfect.

If you have a close to regular cycle I wouldn't put money into it. If you have been trying for over a year, have spoken to specialist and found out you are both fine and there shouldn't' be any problems then I would invest in it. You might be ovulating at really odd times during your cycle.

It is a rather accurate device to determine Lh surges but you can also get cheaper pee on a stick ones that are just as accurate.

But until then I would use a simple ovulation calculator. That is my advice.

If you have the money for it and feel the need, then it is there if you want.

I added the link to the ovulation calculator. This is great if you have a close to regular cycle!

Good luck from one TTC to another!

I used it and got pregnant the first month. It showed me that I was trying on the wrong days. I highly recommend the monitor. After I got pregnant, I took the batteries out and thought I would use it again for a second child, but got pregnant when my daughter was 11 months. I was going to start trying the next month anyway.

Since I don't want anymore kids, I gave the monitor to my best friend who has always had strange periods. She peed on the test sticks for about 3 months before it changed over to her body chemistry. They say not to share it and that they don't guarantee it. But, after she used about two boxes of the sticks, she actually used it to TRY and got pregnant the first time she tried.

    I highly recommend these tests.

I used it because I was 37 the first time and was on an accelerated baby schedule. Had to have my two before 40. It definitely worked for me.

    Best of luck.

I must add that I had been trying for about a year and always had irregular periods. This helped me to target my ovulation test better than charting temperatures, which I also tried for about 6 months.
