Once we are saved we are always saved? We can never lose our salvation?

I believe once saved we are saved forever. When we confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit is sent to live in us. In John 14:16 Jesus said the Holy Spirit sent to us will abide in us forever. For the Holy Spirit to leave us we must lose our salvation and this cannot happen because the Holy Spirit is with us forever. Jesus also said in Matt 28:20 that He is with us always. If Jesus is always with us we cannot lose our salvation. THe Lord Jesus cannot lie therefore we can confidently know that we are saved forever. What do you think?

For all Pratical Purposes, as a Child of GOD, you will not Lose your Salvation. But it is Possible, not Likely.

    Very Few do this Thing.

It is called the Unpardonable Sin, and Baby Christains cannot even Commit it.

There are FIVE things you have to do in Order to even Commit the Unpardonable Sin.

The First is to get Born-Again, the Second is to get Filled with the Holy Spirit-----there are Three more Things you must Accomplish befor you can Fall Away to a Point where you can Commit the Unpardonable Sin where it will be Impossible to get Saved Again.

Jesus can only Die Once for us, even though HE would Die again for those Few that would Lose their Salvation.

Yes, Jesus Loves us That Much.

All of this is in the Bible, and it is Not in Code.

The Bible is clear on this issue as once saved always saved! As the Lords plan of salvation for man totally excludes our own works, we are given the assurance in several places in the Bible that we can never lose our salvation. Ephesians Ch.4 V.30 states "........ we are sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption" Our victory lies totally in Christ as he overcame sin, death, hell, satan, the world and the flesh all of which we were not capable of overcoming so when we believe in him as our savior, the Lord passes that victory on to us. This is why Jesus said with all confidence in John Ch.6 V47 "Verily, verily I say unto you he that believeth on me hath everlasting life" as all we are required to do is believe. Note also in this verse that the word "hath" means "has" which means we possess it now. I hope this has been a help

Then how do you explain 2 PETER 2:20-22

"Certainly if, after having escaped from the defilements of the world by an accurate knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they get involved again with these very things and are overcome, the final conditions have become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them not to have accurately known the path of righteousness than after knowing it accurately to turn away from the holy commandment delivered to them.  The saying of the true proverb has happened to them: “The dog has returned to its own vomit, and the sow that was bathed to rolling in the mire." "

"Once stored, continually stored" is a Protestant errors first articulated via John Calvin within the sixteenth century. It was once now not taught via Jesus or ever promoted via the normal church. The completed paintings of Jesus Christ was once to make some way during which each and every guy may also be stored. But securing salvation calls for an lively reaction via each and every guy. Salvation calls for baptism (Mark sixteen:sixteen; John three:five), believing Christ and placing religion in him (e.g., Luke 7:50, eight:12), self-renunciation (e.g., Matt five:three, 10), repentance (Matt three:two; four:17; 18:eight-nine; Mark nine:forty two-forty eight), obedience to God, doing what's charitable and simply (e.g., Luke 10:25-28; Matt 19:17; Matt 25), adopting the humility of a little one (Matt 18:three-four; 19:14), consuming the bread of lifestyles (John 6:fifty one, fifty three-fifty four), and staying power to the tip (Matt 10:22, 24:thirteen; Mark thirteen:thirteen, Luke 21:sixteen-18). Jesus cannot reply for us. We need to reply ourselves. Cheers, Bruce

Once we are saved we are always saved? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Time and again Paul likens the Christian’s course to a “race” that must be run to the finish. “Let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” he urged the Hebrews. (12:1, AV) To enter the race, sinners must take the steps necessary for salvation: hearing and accepting the Word of God, believing in Jesus Christ and his ransom sacrifice, repenting of their sins and being baptized. In this way, they get saved “from this crooked generation,” as Peter exhorted those gathered at Pentecost. Unbelievers are outside the race, having failed to enter by getting “saved.”Acts 2:37-40.

Once entered in the race by being “saved,” a Christian takes “hold of the life which is life indeed.” But is it possible to lose that grip on life? Paul answers with this question: “Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but only one receives the prize?” In the Christian race, Paul indicates the “one” who receives the prize is anyone who finishes the race. Therefore, Paul urges, “So run that you may obtain it.” Then, using himself as an example to make the point of his illustration, he continues: “I pommel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.” 1 Tim. 6:19.

Evidently the apostle, who surely was a “saved” Christian, believed that even he could be “disqualified” from the race. Yet as long as he continued to ‘run that he might obtain’ the prize, thus remaining in the race, salvation was assured. This is why Christians who remain in the race can be said to ‘have everlasting life.’ But if they should ever quit the race, they are “disqualified,” losing their hold on everlasting life.

True. We are sealed. Forever. We have been bought with Jesus's blood. It can't be undone. No one can pluck us out of His hand, no man or satan. Jesus can't even pluck us out of His hand. It's a done deal. There is nothing good enough we can do to earn it, and there is nothing we could do bad enough to lose it. This isn't an excuse to sin, but it is the truth and that's why it is called the GOOD NEWS.

You really should read the whole New Testament to get the whole picture. Particularly Christ's statements. You also have to take into consideration the geographic locations and the meaning of the words at that time. In a nutshell - love your God with all your heart and your soul and love your neighbor (secondary to God of course).

What if a person turns their back on Jesus? What if they start leading a wicked life? Are they still saved? Didn't Jesus say, "If you love me, keep my commands". If we totally disregard His commandments, aren't we thumbing our nose at Him?
