Plug & Play doesnt work.?
Devices that I plug in my computer arent showing up. How do I check to make sure that my plug and play function works? I dont know where it is supposed to be but, I dont see it in add/remove programs. Please help. I have Windows XP.

I think it is in the BIOS setup. Reboot, and hit ESC or Del, whichever opens BIOS setup. Read through the menus and find the one pertaining to Plug and Play and enable it. Save and Exit and it should work.
Another thing you might do is Right click My Computer and click Properties. Click Hardware, Device Manager. Scroll down to System devices and look for Plug and Play Software Device enumerator. Right click on that and Update the driver.

Is it all USB devices? Then it could be USB drivers are micssing or damaged, go to device manager and check USB devices, rool back driver to previous if possible, or search for new.

you want find it in your add/remove. you go to your add hardware click on that and follow the instructions.
