Try John Irving...my favorites are "A Prayer for Owen Meany" (probably my favorite book of all time). I just read his newest this summer, "Until I Find You". It can be a little difficult to get into at first, but stick with it,, It's worth it! I heard that the movie Simon Birch was based on the Owen Meany novel, but I'm afraid to rent it because I enjoyed the book so much and don't want to compare the two.

I've recently read the Keys to the Kingdom series by Garth Nix. Also theres a new Artemis Fowl book out. Those are both in the teen reading section, but I liked them anyway. I read an autobiography, "I feel bad about my neck", that was on aging and was kinda funny.

The series is called "His Dark Materials" By Phillip Pullman...it's a fantasy series that I like to describe as Harry Potter meets Da Vinci Code. It's a compelling series and a VERY good read.

"The Rescue" by Nicholas Sparks. I think it's been out for awhile but I've been reading all his books and he is just a genius!
