There are two types of dark circles that form under eyes - either those you have since birth, or those you only get if you don't get enough sleep, drink too much, etc.. If it's the latter, then improving your nutrition, sleep, diet/exercise program will help diminish or eliminate those dark circles. However, if you've had those circles your whole life since childhood, there is no permanent way of getting rid of them (I know first hand). These types of dark circles are visible because the skin under the eye is too thin and transparent. I've gotten into the habit of using concealer to camoflauge my undereye circles, and it works well, just find a shade that blends with your skin so that it doesn't stand out. If you want to take a more drastic route - there is a slightly invasive procedure available in which a plastic surgeon extracts a bit of fat from any part of the body the person wants and injects that fat into the layer of skin under the eyes - that small layer of fat acts as a coat for undereye circles, so that they are not seen. Those people who don't show any dark circles naturally have a layer of fat under the eye tissue, which covers the dark areas, so the same concept is utilized during the procedure to eliminate the circles. However, I'm not sure if this procedure is a permanent fix or if it requires periodic maintenance. Though, the easiest solution is to just dab on some concealer.

I have a solution - I am a Mary Kay consultant and have a great concealer that would hide circles immediately. I also have a soothing eye gel that moisturizes under the eyes and will make the dark circles reduce or eliminate in using the product for a while. you can go to my website marykay.com/sallyacors and order these products. i have them in stock and will be happy to send them to you.
