What did Bill Hicks mean when he said......?

Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is mearly energy condensed through a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, life is only a dream and we are the imaginations of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather.

Is there any truth to it?

Do you know me? NO. We are not connected. I think you'd realise if you had an extra universe attached to your backside

He meant that we are all One Big Thing; not only that, but we are more than we seem. He meant that we are all a part of a universal consciousness that is taking a vacation from its all knowing and all accepting nature to gain some perspective by seeing what it is like to pretend to be separate beings. He is also saying that we this world of separateness is all an illusion a dream, and that we should realize that and take life lightly.

To all those who are angered by this notion I'm sorry you feel that way, it must be tough to be so set in your belief of separateness.

yes. He means our innermost self is the same in everyone.

The reason he says the phrase, "here's tom with the weather," right afterwards, is becasue our innermost self appears to us as a vacant hole, we are not supposed to "go there" so to speak, so when people talk this way, they quickly change the subject to something "normal" and everyday.

Try watching "What the bleep do I know?" It's very informative and easy for the average person to comprehend.

That somewhere and at sometime, we will all become one...and it will be the most awkward "Get to know you" Ceremony ever.
